The second we were told that our posters had to have the word “leap” in it, the first thing that came to mind was a leap from the physical world into the spiritual world. It seemed like a good idea to create, so I went with it. In the poster, you can tell that one half is of buildings in an urban area and the other half a sort of spiritual realm if you will. The urban side has people sleeping and the other side the people’s souls, showing the contrast between our physical body and the spirituality we all, in a way, own. It's the leap we can all do. The colors are mostly cool toned with some blue, purple and pink mixed in it, they blend very well and aren't too overwhelming. The design I was going for was to make it look like everything was leaping, by making the word “leap” and the people shaped like an arch, insinuating a jump. It was hard to think of a music element to add but I figured I'd add someone who is playing the flute (known to be very spiritual and used in rituals),and on the spiritual side, a god/goddess playing the flute as well, going with the same theme of the human having that spirit in them. For the font, I honestly just liked the way it looked, I picked it because it spoke to me. Overall, it might seem like a lot to look at and take in, but I wouldn't be satisfied if it was too simple, it's a perfect representation of my mind!
